Day of the African Child
Day of the African Child
One of the events in Thornhill that is always bright and multicoloured, an event that brings smiles, joy and laughter to our children, “The Day of the African child”.
This year’s celebration was somewhat different from the others that were celebrated in the years before. We had two sessions that were quite interesting to watch, for the Foundation Phase and for the Junior School.
The children went all out to address what the theme asked for, “Education that is fit for the 21st century.” More information on building education systems that are resilient to increase access, quality, lifelong learning and relevance was the message of the day. There was no way these messages could be shared without putting in a few dance moves.
A happy International Day of the African Child was thouroughly enjoyed by all.
