PHOTOGRAPHY DISCLAIMER

Thornhill Primary School recognizes the need to ensure the welfare of all young people taking part in any activity associated with our school. In accordance with this, we will not permit photographs, video or other images of young people to be taken without the consent of the parents/guardians.

Your child will be taking part in many activities during their time at Thornhill Primary School. By virtue of your membership and enrollment to our school you are consenting to Thornhill Primary School taking photographs or videos at specific events and activities, or in the classroom, that include your child. It is likely that these images may be used as a record of the activity or event, staff evaluation, publicity material for further activities or events, and on leaflets and websites.

You are also informed that in addition to Thornhill Primary School taking photographs or videos, there will also likely be parents taking photographs or videos of their own children at school events. You are authorising those parents to take photographs and videos of their children, on the understanding that your child may or may not be included in those photographs and videos.

As a parent, you are also agreeing that when you are take photographs or videos of your own child, you will use those images responsibly and that they are intended for family and private use only. This includes use with specific regard to any social media platforms.

Thornhill Primary School and all parents agree that no photographs are to be sold by or to anyone. 

We will take all steps necessary to ensure that these images are used solely for the purposes they are intended. If you become aware that these images are being used inappropriately, you should inform the school immediately. You may if necessary approach the school to expressly remove photography or video content of your child that we post should you feel it does not fall in line with our stipulated policies.
