Std 6 Outreach

In week two of this term, we took some of our Std 6 children to visit the children at St Peter’s Day Care Centre. These children are very young and are aged between two and six. We took some biscuits, sausage rolls and juice with us, so we could all share a treat with the children and staff there.

We had so much fun, Mrs Moremi played the guitar and we sang together with their teachers and their braver children.

Ms Michael had organised some colouring sheets and wax crayons, which was most enjoyable for the children.

Mrs Withey had donated some books from our library to St Peter’s Day Care Centre and our Thornhill children read to their children.

Our Thornhill children who joined this trip are to be commended on the way they helped and participated and we were very proud of them. As always, it was a humbling experience and we will return at the end of term with more children from Std 6, so they can experience the same joy that we did.

It gives me great pleasure to welcome you to the Thornhill Primary School website, filled with information which, we hope, will attract your interest and serve to give a sense of the rich flavour of life at our school.
