Thornhill at the Movies 2

Thornhill Foundation Phase hosted their annual, much-anticipated concert entitled “Thornhill at the Movies” at the
end of the first term. It was a show filled with fun and laughter. From the outset, it was evident that the children were in their element and thoroughly enjoying themselves in front of their audiences.

Each class performed an excerpt from a popular movie or musical with enthusiasm and confidence. The show high-lighted the children’s talents and their love of acting, dancing and singing.

It was a time in which happy memories were made and also a reminder of how important it is to nurture a love of the arts from a young age.

Some comments from the children:

Mmusi – ‘I liked shouting – I like to move it move it.’
Ivor – ‘I liked that I had to learn some words and I did it nicely!’
Mila – ‘The birds did a really, really nice dance!’
Lewatle – ‘I loved that the children in the Junior Phase came to watch us and to cheer for us!’
London – ‘I loved that the people were watching us!’
Zoe – ‘I loved the dancing.’
Riggie – ‘I liked being a bodyguard!’
Tshwanelo – ‘I loved King Julian and his Lemurs!’

It gives me great pleasure to welcome you to the Thornhill Primary School website, filled with information which, we hope, will attract your interest and serve to give a sense of the rich flavour of life at our school.
